It’s actually great. Not an issue as travel is easy, people are friendly, and there is so much to do. What has been some of the highlights so far? Since leaving Papa Stour, my favourite things have been the puffin colony and my campus tour of the University of Aberdeen. In Huntly, I also really enjoyed the Square Market and a 22 mile e-bike ride across a 5300 acre wind farm. How would you describe the Huntly? Huntly is a lovely little farming town. There is great weather and a lot of hiking tracks. The locals here are all wonderful to be around. So pretty much, I love it here. What wildlife and nature is in Huntly? To name a few, there are sparrows, grouse, golden eagles, red deer, highland tigers, badgers, foxes, spruce, alder, and birch. What are a few things you're learning? With my few months in Scotland, the biggest thing I have taken away is the importance and preciousness of family and friends. I’m doing fine on the other side of the Atlantic of everyone I know, but it’s nice to see the value of the relationships I have and am excited to jump back into it all when I come back to the states. |
